ISAIAH J. THOMPSON TRIO
ジャズを通じて信仰、音楽性、人種、人間性を探求。ウィントン・マルサリス、クリスチャン・マクブライド、ジョン・ピザレリ等と共演する気鋭ピアニスト、アイザイア J. トンプソンが新作『Book of Isaiah: Modern Jazz Ministry』を携えてコットンクラブ初登場を果たす。ニュージャージー州出身の彼は幼少期から音楽を学び、ジュリアード音楽院に進学。2018年のセロニアス・モンク・コンペティション準優勝を得て、ウィントンによる「ジャズ・アット・リンカーン・センター」の『Handful of Keys』や映画『マザーレス・ブルックリン』のサウンドトラック参加でも注目を集めた。2024年からは母校ジュリアードのジャズ研究科の教員としても活動する彼のエモーショナルなピアニズムを、手の届くような距離で味わいたい。
